Heide is a speaker, author, and publisher of Influential People Magazine and International Fitness Fashion Magazine. You have five magazines and are also the host of the Influential People TV show.

Heide Dangelo: Yes.

Nim Stant: Heide, this is more than just work; this is your legacy. You’ve accomplished so much in your life. Could you share a bit about your journey and the work you do?

Heide Dangelo: Sure. My journey began with owning a cleaning business, which eventually became a million-dollar company. After retiring from that, I became a speaker for my book Statement of Power, which became a number one bestseller. From there, I decided to do something else I was good at. Having worked at Vogue, Cosmopolitan Magazine, and Fashion Faces, people often told me I should start my own magazine company.

Nim Stant: Yes!

Heide Dangelo: At first, I was scared. But a friend gave me the push I needed, and she even introduced me to my first client. From there, everything took off.

Nim Stant: Was that the moment you discovered your gift?

Heide Dangelo: Yes, it was. I always knew I was good at it, but I had doubts because of the negative voices I’d heard growing up. My friend’s encouragement helped me overcome those doubts, and I decided to go for it.

Nim Stant: That’s wonderful. Tell us a little bit about Influential People Magazine and your other four magazines.

Heide Dangelo: I started with Influential People Magazine using my database from when I was a speaker and from my cleaning business. I knew there were many influential people out there—unsung heroes—who wanted to be recognized and needed more exposure for their brands. That’s why I created the magazine, to uplift people and put them on a pedestal. Later, I launched Fit and Fashion Magazine because of my background in the fitness industry and my experience with fashion, merging the two to create something unique.

Nim Stant: How can we find your magazines? Are they available online or in bookstores?

Heide Dangelo: My primary goal is to save trees, so the magazines are available online. However, people can order physical copies on demand.

Nim Stant: That’s great. You’ve worked with many influential people. What’s one common trait you’ve noticed among successful individuals?

Heide Dangelo: I look for people who are well-established and genuinely want to help others, like through humanitarian work. I can sense authenticity because of my intuition. Some people may not have a brand yet, but I help them discover their passion and create something meaningful.

Nim Stant: You also let God guide your business and life. Could you share a bit about that with our audience?

Heide Dangelo: It’s been an amazing journey. I started my cleaning business because God guided me to do so, even though I didn’t know how to run a business at the time. I trusted Him, and everything fell into place. Later, when it was time to move on, He guided me to start the magazine. I’ve learned that when you listen to God, doors open.

Nim Stant: But I believe you have to be quiet enough to hear His voice. If not, you might miss the message and take a different path, right?

Heide Dangelo: Absolutely. It’s about being still and listening. There are two voices—the ego, which is negative, and God’s voice, which is positive. You have to choose to listen to the positive, and things will align.
